Thoughts of Today

La música, la poesía y la literatura son un escape bastante profundo para mí. La música principalmente, ya que es más fácil encontrar una canción con un buen significado que me guste. Que me sienta identificado y que me toqué el alma. Que me haga sentir.  Es más raro encontrar un libro o un poema, pero los sentimientos que brotan en mí al leerlos son más impactantes, más profundos. Anhelo otro libro que me haga llorar de felicidad o de tristeza. Inevitable

Was it inevitable? For us to just drift apart? Us, once so close together... we never thought that this might happen. Us that we knew everything about each other. Is it okay? I know close to nothing now and it saddens me, but I fear that it doesn't sadden me enough... Have I grown cold? I still care, but I do not long for... I miss and I get nostalgic, but I do not regret. Of course, I'm filled with a gigantic "what if?" but I guess it's something I'll live with. Was it because of me? Or was it because of you? I know lie here just wondering about, some things take me back and maybe just for a little while I'm sad. And I feel guilty because I think that I'm not sad because I miss you... I think I'm sad because I miss "it". Was it inevitable to not know anything? To just remain in ignorance of each other for the rest of our lives? Or will we sometime drift back together again and begin to know each other anew?

New Year

"New Year, New Me". This year has been a lifechanging one. I have lived somethings that I never thought I'd have to go through and done others that I rhought I'd never do. I am happy that this year has ended and that a new one has begun. I do not want to forget this past year, but I don't think I'll remember it fondly... It has been a rough one. Specially the second half. I am anxious to see what new things will come and what challenges await me. What should my new year resolutions be like? I haven't really thought about them and I should.
